Camden Shaken By Fatal Gunfire

A 22-year-old South Jersey man was shot and killed, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at 11:37 p.m. Thursday on the 1300 block of Lakesboro Drive, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Camden patrol officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and found an unconscious male suffering from a gunshot wound, Mayer and Rodriguez said.

The male succumbed to his injuries at Cooper University Hospital at 12:12 a.m. Friday, they said.

The victim was identified as Kwamere Brown, 22, of Camden.
